Plant Of The Week
The plant of the week this
week is a new Cleome from Danziger. This one color series called Clio ‘Magenta’
(http://www.metrolinagreenhouses.com/testgarden/8538.aspx)
has done great in the garden all season. Unlike the current seed propagated
ones, this one is from cutting. This added cost is more than made up for by
improved performance for the consumer. This plant has gotten high ratings
all season. One feature of this plant is the lack of thorns which are often
found on other Cleome. The only down side is there is only one color available.
